Tucson Young Professionals holds a monthly CEO Roundtable as an avenue of professional development for our members and the community. We ask our featured speaker(s) to candidly speak for 30-35 minutes about their story of successes, pitfalls and laughs on their journey to becoming a successful leader.
This month, we will hear from Magdalena Verdugo, named the new CEO of the YWCA Southern Arizona in January 2020.

| About Our Speaker(s) |
Verdugo joins the YWCA after 29 years with Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC), where she held a variety of positions. Most recently, she was the Vice President of CPLC Community Schools. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in education with a focus on educational leadership from Northern Arizona University, and professional certification in nonprofit executive leadership from the Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation at Arizona State University.
