Join Andres Portela as they discuss how to best manage microaggression in the workplace!

About this Event

The Community Conversation Series will give TYP members the opportunity to share their own experiences and learn from others on topics related to Race, Equity, Access, Diversity and Inclusion. We will bring in speakers to lead the conversations by sharing their own experiences and set the stage for the conversations at each event. The series will be an opportunity for personal growth and learning for members and community members who join in.

About our Speaker

Andres Portela is the son of Tenishea and Andres; born and raised in Sierra Vista. He was a first-generation college student and athlete; and a graduate of the University of Arizona.

Andres is a Black Futures Lab policy fellow, Young Black Organizers Project Alumni, Deputy Director at Arizona Coalition for Change and Our Voice Our Vote, and recently lost his election for Ward 6 Council Member.

Fun facts: traveled to 24 countries, loves skydiving and rides an electric moped around Tucson
