TYP Mentorship Program

For TYP Members (Mentees) + Community Leaders (Mentors)

This transformative 12-week mentorship experience is built to help emerging professionals grow with purpose and deepen their connection to Southern Arizona.

Since 2015, we've proudly partnered with the Southern Arizona Leadership Council (SALC) to connect TYP Members with seasoned executives and community leaders. In 2025, we expanded the program through collaboration with 4 Da Hood, intentionally broadening our mentor network to reflect Tucson’s diverse professional community and center the lived experiences of BIPOC professionals.

Together, these partnerships create one inclusive, connected mentorship ecosystem where every participant can build clarity, leadership confidence, and a lasting sense of place.

Program Details:
Timeline:
February - April 2026
Meeting Cadence:
- 1x Weekly 1:1 Mentor/Mentee Check-In (30–60 min; virtual or in person)
- 2 In-Person Cohort Mixers (Opening & Closing Celebrations)
Mentor Role: Show up consistently with curiosity, share insights and experiences, and support mentee growth through honest guidance and feedback.
Mentee Role: Engage with openness, take initiative in scheduling and reflection, and use the structure and prompts provided to build leadership confidence and career clarity.
Matching Process: Mentors are recruited through SALC and 4 Da Hood and represent a diverse network of local CEOs, business owners, and community leaders. TYP matches pairs based on career stage, industry, goals, and lived experience to create meaningful connections.
