Mentorship in Action

Tucson Young Professionals offers two unique mentorship programs designed to connect, grow, and uplift individuals at all stages of their professional journey.

Whether you're looking to give back as a mentor or grow through guidance, our cohort models offer meaningful opportunities to build community and purpose.

TYP Mentorship Program

For TYP Members (Mentees) + Community Leaders (Mentors)

This transformative 12-week mentorship experience is built to help emerging professionals grow with purpose and deepen their connection to Southern Arizona.

Since 2015, we've proudly partnered with the Southern Arizona Leadership Council (SALC) to connect TYP Members with seasoned executives and community leaders. Through strategic partnerships, the program continues to evolve—expanding mentor representation and centering diverse professional experiences to better reflect our community.

Together, these collaborations create an inclusive mentorship ecosystem where participants gain clarity, strengthen leadership skills, and build meaningful, lasting relationships.

Program Details:
Timeline: 
February - April 2026
Program Length: 12 weeks
Application Period: 
Jan. 26 - Feb. 6, 2026
Meeting Cadence: 
- Weekly 1:1 mentor–mentee check-ins
(30–60 minutes; virtual or in person)
- Two in-person full-cohort mixers (Opening and Closing Celebrations)

Mentor Role: Show up consistently with curiosity, share insights and experiences, and support mentee growth through honest guidance and feedback.
Mentee Role: Engage with openness, take initiative in scheduling and reflection, and use the structure and prompts provided to build leadership confidence and career clarity.
Matching Process: Mentors are recruited through SALC, and represent a diverse network of local CEOs, business owners, and community leaders. Mentor-mentee pairs are matched based on career stage, industry, goals, and lived experience to support meaningful, aligned connections.

TYP + C2C: Thriving Futures Mentorship Program

For TYP Members (Mentors) + Opportunity Youth (Mentees)

A cohort-based mentorship experience designed to support Youth (ages 16–24) through structured, intentional relationships with TYP mentors.

Developed in partnership with the Cradle to Career Partnership anchored at the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona (C2C), this this program combines in-person cohort experiences and guided one-on-one mentorship to build professional confidence, expand networks, and explore thriving futures in Southern Arizona.

Program Details:
Cohort Timeline: April 6 – June 27, 2026
Meeting Cadence: 
- 3 In-Person Cohort Sessions
(Saturdays, hosted at the United Way Campus)
- 5 Mentor/Mentee 1:1 Meetings (30–45 min, flexible scheduling between pairs)
Spring 2026 Cohort Dates:
- Session 1: CONNECT | Kickoff + Community Building

Saturday, April 11 | 10 AM – 1 PM
- Session 2: GROW | Build Your Path
Saturday, May 16 | 9 AM – 1 PM
- Session 3: THRIVE | Launch Forward (Graduation)
Saturday, June 13 | 9 AM – 1 PM(Optional cohort service project to follow)

Roles & Expectations:
Mentors:
Attend all cohort sessions, build a consistent relationship with your mentee, and offer guidance, perspective, and encouragement throughout the program.
Mentees:
Show up with curiosity and openness, reflect on your goals, and actively engage in both cohort sessions and one-on-one conversations.

The Thriving Futures mentorship journey is designed around three core phases:
CONNECT — Build relationships and establish a strong foundation
GROW — Explore strengths, goals, and personal direction
THRIVE — Expand networks and take action toward next steps
