TYP Philanthropy Meeting + YOTO Tour + Giveback Project

The TYP Philanthropy Committee is a group of TYP members committed to growing a culture of philanthropy within our membership, learning about what it means to be a local philanthropist, and providing our members with opportunities to give to the organizations and causes they care about. Once per quarter, our TYP Philanthropy Commitee meets at a local non-profit to learn about the host organization and plan the months ahead.

Join us on Jan. 21st for a tour and look behind the scenes of the new Youth on Their Own facility and help us with a little giveback project! Since 1986, Youth On Their Own (YOTO) has helped youth experiencing homelessness in Pima County graduate from high school and build the lives they deserve for themselves and their families. YOTO’s mission is to support the high school graduation and continued success of youth experiencing homelessness. YOTO does this in three ways: (1) offering a financial stipend contingent upon attendance; (2) ensuring free access to basic needs items; and (3) providing caring guidance. YOTO youth can access basic needs items like non-perishable foods, hygiene products, and school supplies at their on-site Mini Mall or through YOTO’s online portal with weekly deliveries to schools across Pima County.
